Job Summary
Schedule, train, and supervise the maintenance department to ensure facilities and machinery operate at maximum efficiency. Manage breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment, including software programming, while overseeing repair schedules, cost estimates, and vendor coordination. Implement safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and troubleshoot machine malfunctions to align repairs with business needs. Set department objectives, review performance, and enforce ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18801 standards. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resource deployment and maintain high operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
- Understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
- 3 years' experience managing a cross-functional team
- Previous experience in implementing and maintaining a successful preventive maintenance program
- Required some overhead lifting of up to 40 pounds objects (cardboard boxes, trash bags, odd shaped items, etc.)
- Required to lift 50 pounds and move odd shaped objects (desks, tables, etc.)
- Average work-exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and /or negligible amount of force constantly
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more with the ability to judge depth and space relationships and bring objects into sharp focus
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM)
- 5 to 7 years manufacturing, Engineering or related experience
