Job Summary
Direct and control plant security, internal and external building maintenance, and machine rebuild/repair functions to minimize downtime and maximize manufacturing efficiency. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all machines, equipment, vehicles, and lift trucks while ensuring complete file documentation. Monitor plant needs for machine parts, determining whether to purchase or manufacture them in-house. Maintain optimum inventory levels for supplies and materials, ensuring the best quality at the lowest cost. Ensure all permits and licenses for building, equipment, and vehicle maintenance are properly procured and displayed. Work with manufacturing departments to improve machine feeding methods and develop programs upgrading machines to extend rebuild intervals. Required Qualifications
- HSD/GED or equivalent
- 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3-5 years of successful maintenance supervision or management, preferably in a multi shift facility
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of machine rebuild and general maintenance functions
- Proven problem solving ability
- Post High School education
- Previous maintenance experience in a fastener industry
- Electrical and/or Plumbing Skills
- Lean Manufacturing or similar training and experience
- Valid driver's license
