Job Summary
Hands-on Maintenance Manager leading maintenance technicians at a manufacturing facility in Columbia, SC. Responsibilities include overseeing daily maintenance, developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/automation systems, analyzing KPIs and downtime, utilizing CMMS, managing spare parts and vendors, leading root cause analysis, supporting capital projects, ensuring OSHA safety compliance, driving 5S/lean initiatives, and mentoring staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial, or processing environments
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement measurable improvements
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and maintenance best practices
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with spare parts inventory management and equipment reliability strategies preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
