Job Summary
Lead all maintenance activities and personnel across the wood pellet manufacturing facility, developing strategies focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency. Manage departmental budgets, resources, and small capital improvement projects while utilizing a CMMS to oversee work orders, equipment history, and spare parts inventory. Champion safety culture through compliance with regulations and partner with Operations and Reliability teams to minimize downtime and improve KPIs. Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, RCM, and TPM methodologies, ensuring procedures and training remain current. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of up to 20 professionals to build a high-performing culture while identifying operational risks and implementing mitigation measures.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of maintenance or related industrial experience with responsibility for maintenance assets
- Previous experience leading and supervising maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, asset reliability, and preventive maintenance programs
- Experience using CMMS software
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and RCM principles
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Additional reliability, maintenance, or leadership certifications
