Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Lead and manage all maintenance activities and personnel across the wood pellet manufacturing facility, developing and executing plant strategies focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency. Manage maintenance budgets, resources, and small capital improvement projects while championing the safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with Operations and Reliability teams to minimize downtime, utilizing a CMMS to manage work orders, equipment history, and spare parts inventory. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies, and lead, coach, and mentor a team of up to 20 professionals to build a high-performing culture. Identify operational risks, implement mitigation measures, and ensure procedures remain current. This role supports Drax's mission to decarbonize the planet through world-class maintenance practices in Morehouse, Louisiana.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of maintenance or related industrial experience with responsibility for maintenance assets
- Previous experience leading and supervising maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, asset reliability, and preventive maintenance programs
- Experience using CMMS software
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and RCM principles
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Additional reliability, maintenance, or leadership certifications
