Job Summary
Organize and manage the day-to-day function of the Maintenance department by delegating and supervising preventive maintenance, special projects, and daily needs. Plan, assign, and prioritize work for Maintenance Technicians while producing weekly reports and managing parts sourcing. Implement and enforce safety policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices; inspect work areas and provide employee safety training. Recruit, hire, and train new staff in conjunction with Human Resources, then supervise personnel through evaluations and follow-ups. Maintain accurate parts inventory, compute cost estimates, and perform advanced actions including building repair, rolling stock repair, and automation calibration.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education
- Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/ CPR Certification
- Minimal 5 Years Maintenance Experience
- Minimal 2 Years Supervisory Experience
- Understand and operate environmental controls, alarm systems, backup power, and other technology
- Ability to track and document all activities with correct forms and paperwork
- Strong knowledge of mechanical drives, gearboxes and general movement of equipment and materials
- Strong knowledge of three phase 480/240 VAC motors and circuits; 110 VAC control circuits and motor starters with overload protection
- High level of mechanical aptitude with plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs
- Stand and walk constantly
- Grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently
- Sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and water, and chemicals
- Temperature is regulated for operations standards
- Cooler temperatures occur in specific areas
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions
- Employees are required to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
