Job Summary
Manage the Maintenance Department by supervising staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring safety standards are met across multifamily communities in Florida. Conduct move-in and move-out inspections, resolve escalated repair issues involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for apartments, pools, and grounds. Interview and hire new maintenance personnel, train them on technical procedures, and monitor performance through documentation of service requests and inventory levels. This role requires proficiency in trades such as painting, plumbing, and carpentry, along with EPA and CPO certifications. Candidates must work independently, prioritize daily schedules, and be available for on-call duty, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Applied trades training on a particular or specialized occupation, requiring knowledge of mechanics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and plumbing
- Over five years experience
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- EPA certification (either Universal or both Type I and Type II)
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
- Available for on call duty, nights and weekend work
