Job Summary
Direct and manage all maintenance activities and staff across shifts to ensure timely response to equipment issues and reliable support of production operations. Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance planning to maximize equipment availability and reliability. Establish a 24/7 emergency response program to minimize downtime and product loss while enforcing safety processes, including Lockout/Tagout and machine-guarding programs. Utilize the CMMS to manage work orders, schedules, and performance metrics, and oversee critical facility infrastructure such as refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, and boilers. Partner with Production and Quality Assurance to develop proactive solutions and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, USDA/FSIS, and food safety regulations. Manage the maintenance budget, coordinate contractor work, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering and five years of production maintenance experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task, organizing own workload to maintain high quality and output while achieving set deadlines and targets
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 years' experience with production maintenance in a related environment
- Experience utilizing and developing CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and peripheral systems (work order, requisition, asset register, parts inventory, labor and equip trending and forecasting, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- PC proficiency (Microsoft suite, PLC programming and CAD would be a plus)
