Job Summary
Supervise maintenance staff and operations to ensure the club consistently meets Equinox standards for cleanliness and safety. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance personnel while developing potential supervisors. Conduct daily one-on-one meetings with shift managers, perform walk-through inspections, and report open tasks to the GMIT. Manage inventory, oversee deliveries, implement inclement weather procedures, and maintain knowledge of emergency protocols and competitor facilities. Assist in developing the annual budget and attend regular manager meetings. Maintain high visibility during peak hours and ensure high levels of customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a commercial business or fitness setting
- Proven ability to hire, direct, and train staff
- Knowledge in maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and exercise equipment
- Knowledge and experience with tools
- Knowledge and experience with janitorial cleaning products and OSHA standards
- Current C.P.R. and First Aid Certification
- Good financial management
- Ability to utilize new techniques, ideas and solve problems
- Possess honesty and personal integrity
- Hardworking and diligent
- Must have sense of urgency around all work details
- Must have a legal right to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
