Job Summary
Maintenance Manager oversees and maintains an effective fleet maintenance program for Burrtec Waste Industries in Fontana, CA, supervising on-site technicians to ensure maintenance work is safe, efficient and timely; plans and schedules team workloads based on preventative maintenance tasks; manages the DOT/OSHA compliance program, DVIR processing and safety training; maintains vehicle documentation and parts inventory; generates recurring maintenance data reports and coordinates repairs for heavy-duty refuse trucks; requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; CA driver’s license required, CDL preferred, ASE certification a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a fleet repair facility and heavy duty Mechanics
- thorough knowledge of HD engines, transmissions and mechanical repairs
- Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations
- A valid California Driver’s license, required
- Commercial Driver’s license preferred
- ASE certification for alternative fuels is a plus
