Job Summary
Direct all Engineering efforts to ensure plant Quality, Efficiency, Safety, and Financial goals are met. Manage resources, inventory, and vendor contacts to optimize equipment uptime and budget attainment. Lead a team of Supervisors, Leads, Clerks, and Technicians, overseeing performance management, skills development, and adherence to food processing regulations and safety protocols. Develop and monitor Capital and Non-Capital projects while establishing corrective actions for downtime and waste events. Improve preventive maintenance processes within PM software and maintain accurate reporting for management. Requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of maintenance and people management experience, proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical plant duties.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with maintenance, as well as people management
- Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with safety procedures for a vast variety of equipment and machines
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk through a manufacturing plant
- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time
- Must have good vision
- Must have good hearing
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred
- PLC troubleshooting preferred
