Job Summary
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all maintenance associates while conducting regular performance appraisals. Ensure community grounds and interiors remain in good repair by inspecting properties, coordinating vendor services, and managing repairs for safety and resident wellbeing. Respond to all resident and staff maintenance requests, prepare apartments for new residents, and maintain the Community Compliance Manual. Follow OSHA safety requirements, attend required meetings, and work flexible days, evenings, and weekends. Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems with proper certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- 2-5 years previous maintenance experience preferably in a multi-family housing environment
- Personnel Supervisory experience
- EPA 608 Type I and Type II certifications
- current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
- Understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in computer skills such as Ops Technology, e-mail
- Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as hazardous materials
- Must be comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects
- Must follow all safety/OSHA Requirements
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing
- Must demonstrate ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Must demonstrate ability to successfully work on a team
- Must demonstrate support of Bell Core Values
- Must be available to work days and evenings, weekdays, and weekends
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs
- Must be able to walk, bend, reach, climb
- Must be able to move heavy objects
