Job Summary
Maintenance Manager leads start-up and operation of a sterile injectable facility, directing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and utilities, coordinating with engineering leadership to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality; responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, team leadership, and CMMS implementation in a high-regulation GMP environment. Requires managing cross-functional maintenance teams, ensuring life cycle sustainment of assets, and coordinating with contractors for startup, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher or 4+ years of maintenance experience in biotech/pharmaceutical/industrial/military environment (as alternative to degree)
- Associate’s degree with 6+ years of maintenance experience
- 8+ years of maintenance experience in relevant environments
- Previous experience in maintenance supervision/planning or reliability engineering
- Knowledge of ERP systems and MRO relevance
- Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of sterile injectable or pharmaceutical manufacturing operations
