Job Summary
Prepare vacant apartments for leasing by removing trash, inspecting units for repairs, painting interiors, and completing minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance fixes. Clean or shampoo flooring, maintain grounds, parking, and pool areas with chemical monitoring, and assist with landscaping and pressure washing. Report major mechanical or structural concerns to the supervisor and maintain accurate inventory of supplies. Perform other duties as assigned to support the property's needs while following safety procedures. This full-time, physically active role involves evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator certification required when assigned responsibility for maintaining pool chemical levels
- Ability to provide commonly used industry-specific hand tools when required
- Successful completion of a background check
- Drug screening
- Authorization to work in the United States (E-Verify)
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least one year of make-ready, porter, groundskeeping, maintenance, painting, or similar experience preferred
- Previous experience preparing apartments or residential properties for move-in is a plus
- Basic knowledge of painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, cleaning, and landscaping
- Ability to safely use basic hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to follow instructions, organize assignments, and complete work on time
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify repair or replacement needs
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of general workplace safety procedures
