Job Summary
Lead the maintenance department by planning work, training personnel, and supervising technical service employees to oversee repairs, mold changes, and project tasks on time and within budget. Identify resources, manage project schedules, and communicate status to operations while driving problem resolution and maintaining action registers. Make necessary repairs on molding machines, support equipment, forklifts, and grounds to ensure operability and OSHA compliance, including inspecting new machinery before operation. Assist with the PM/repair database, improve 5S within the facility, and interact with suppliers to secure pricing and quality. Provide analysis and recommended solutions to the manufacturing process while researching advanced technology and procedures. This role supports a full-service molder focusing on recreational vehicles, marine, and industrial markets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 years of experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- 3 years of experience supervising a maintenance team
- Strong skills in troubleshooting and directing the repair of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems
- Solid background in leadership
- Excellent verbal skills
- Ability to drive projects independently
- Proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Work Order system
- Proficiency with Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project
- Proficient computer skills
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a hot humid environment for extended periods of time
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to be present in the production area for most of the time
- Ability to stand a majority of the shift
- Ability to push, pull, sit, climb, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, walk, grip, and bend
- Ability to bend, stretch, lift, and pull molds that weigh 45+ lbs
- Good vision with or without corrective device (near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes or boot, earplugs, etc.
