Job Summary
Maintenance Machinist at The Boeing Company in Washington State, operating conventional CNC machinery and performing precision machining and fabrication tasks to support aircraft systems. Responsibilities include obtaining work orders, modeling and planning machining processes, using CAD/CAM tools (Inventor, Mastercam) to obtain tooling and drawings, performing layout and checks with precision measuring tools, maintaining tight tolerances, operating overhead cranes and rigging, communicating producibility/status to customers, designing tooling and setups, performing bench work and machine work on location, and ensuring safety standards and compliance in a 100% onsite environment. Requires 3+ years of hands-on machining experience, proficiency with blueprints and math, and ability to lift up to 35 pounds; English proficiency; relocation is not negotiable; U.S. person per export control; second shift available.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with reverse engineering, teardowns, and reuse methodologies
- 3+ years of experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines
- 3+ years of experience using precision measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and/or dial indicators
- 3+ years of experience working with detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
- 3+ years of experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
