Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including numerical controls, power supplies, drives, and test equipment. Perform preventive maintenance functions, install, start up, and shut down equipment per OSHA requirements, and maintain work area housekeeping. Read manuals, diagrams, and work orders to execute maintenance and service tasks. Duties may include electrical work, welding, fabrication, operating lathes and drills, and leveling equipment. Requires Journeyman Maintenance Technician Card or five years of equivalent experience in mechanical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Maintenance Technician Card
- 5 years equivalent experience in Mechanical including welding and fabrication
- Electro-Mechanical experience
- Hydraulic fluid power experience
- Pneumatics experience
- Journeyman Machine Repairmen Card
- 5 years equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Okuma equipment
- Experience with Makino equipment
- Experience with WFL equipment
- Experience with Pama equipment
- Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls
- Experience with older manual and automatic grinding equipment
- Knowledge of boiler and HVAC systems
- Previous knowledge of preventative maintenance systems
- Previous maintenance lead person experience
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
