Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery by conducting daily inspections, lubricating, and cleaning. Conduct inspections to identify failures requiring monitoring or repair, then troubleshoot and fix errors that arise during the shift. Control and adjust machine settings such as speed, and report all concerns or malfunctions to the supervisor or mechanic. Handle larger repairs by notifying the appropriate technician when necessary. This role supports the Maintenance Division at B&H, a trusted resource for photography and videography enthusiasts. The position requires proficiency with electrical equipment, blueprints, and safety procedures, with a preference for one to two years of industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications
- Good understanding of safety concepts/procedures
- Understanding the basic controls (start, stop, etc.), sensors, etc
- Knowledge typical of 1-2 years of industry experience
- Trade school diploma or industry certifications
- Must be available for 2nd Shift - Sunday 9:00am-6:0pm, Monday-Thursday 3:45pm-11:45pm
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Must be able to frequently use hand tools such as power tools, hammers, nails, and bolts
