Job Summary
Provide general support to the maintenance department by filling in when training allows and is approved. Maintain and replace forklift batteries, perform routine inspections, and complete painting assignments including working at heights and in cold temperatures. Conduct regular building maintenance for cleanliness and safety, inspect fire extinguishers, log monthly equipment hours, and check emergency lighting and eyewash stations. Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed documentation of all activities. Participate in training for various equipment to safely maintain, inspect, and repair them, while supporting emergency response efforts as required. Individual technicians with advanced ability may assist with entry-level refrigeration tasks under supervision. Work in temperature ranges from +50°F to -30°F, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, with additional hours requested to manage production and special events.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with assistance
- Work in a temperature range from +50°F to -30°F with moderate noise levels
- Lift overhead when required
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication, vision, and hearing are essential for safety and productivity
- Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment as required
- Operate a registered motor vehicle if apart of daily tasks
- Possess strong arithmetic and reading skills
- Follow verbal instructions, written instructions, and company policies
- Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines
- Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance and communications at all times
- Participate in safety and educational training programs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- Knowledge of general hand and power tools
- Experience with preventative maintenance preferred
