Job Summary
Oversee performance and maintenance of large production machinery by performing mechanical troubleshooting, dismantling, adjusting, and repairing equipment under specific time constraints. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, visually test machinery to detect malfunctions, and execute root cause analysis to develop permanent solutions for operational issues. Collaborate with production managers to schedule regular maintenance, modify equipment for new products, and coordinate test runs while ensuring all work orders and preventive maintenance plans are completed. Manage shop inventories, organize tools, and report damaged parts or unsafe conditions immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Maintenance in a production environment
- Experience with industrial electrical
- Experience working with boiler equipment
- Knowledge in food processing and/or chemical processing
- Knowledge in GMPs
- Knowledge in clean design
- Familiarity with batch and continuous processing
- Familiarity with filtration techniques
- Familiarity with extraction
- Familiarity with product packaging
- Familiarity with food safety programs like SQF
- Familiarity with food safety programs like Kosher
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of single and three phases electric
- Knowledge of AC high and low voltages
- Knowledge of DC high and low voltages
- Ability to work off shift
- Ability to work weekends
- Knowledge of work order system (E-maintenance)
- Working knowledge of hand tools
- Working knowledge of power tools
- Must be able to read and understand all electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
