Job Summary
Maintenance Lead in Malaysia leading the engineering/maintenance team at a chemical/paint-processing facility. Responsibilities include managing and leading the maintenance team, assisting with CAPEX and FE budgeting, driving improvement initiatives (6S, safety, waste reduction, etc.), coordinating with outside repair/contractor agencies, reporting safety and environmental incidents, ensuring operator training for equipment, ensuring adherence to safety policies, quality practices, and SOPs, minimizing downtime, maintaining maintenance data/records, and actively participating in Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings to drive continuous improvement. Requires a Diploma/Degree in engineering with 5-8 years of relevant experience; strong English and local-language communication; willingness to collaborate with production, QC, and finance teams in a hybrid or on-site capacity (as specified by site practices).
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree holder preferable in engineering
- Chemical manufacturing experience or paint processing experience (minimum 5-8 years)
- Read, write and speak good local language
- Read, write and speak simple English
