Job Summary
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for leading maintenance activities for a facility, ensuring productivity and quality through effective planning, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, technical training, and significant hands-on experience in maintenance, with leadership experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- 2-year associate degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent
- Military training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty
- 3+ years hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, or related role
- Demonstrated proficiency with all requirements of the Maintenance A Mechanic position
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years leadership experience
- Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Previous experience reading blueprints and schematics
- Previous experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Experience with power transmission components; belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gears
- Experience with drill presses, lathes, Bridgeport-type mills
- Experience with operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated lifts
