Job Summary
The Maintenance Lead will supervise daily maintenance operations in a corrugated manufacturing facility, coordinate maintenance technicians, prioritize repairs, support preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. Responsibilities include assigning and prioritizing work orders, providing technical guidance, ensuring accurate repair documentation, coordinating emergency breakdown responses, communicating equipment status to production leadership, and supporting training and development of maintenance personnel. Key duties cover mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance tasks such as diagnosing and repairing corrugators, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, sprockets, and drive components; installing and aligning components; reading blueprints and schematics; basic electrical troubleshooting of motors, sensors, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment; coordinating with vendors; maintaining maintenance records; and driving continuous improvement while upholding safety guidelines and GMP/food-safety standards. The role requires leadership experience, strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read drawings, attention to safety and quality, willingness to work overtime, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong industrial mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Strong industrial troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, service technicians, and team members
- Working knowledge of industrial facility systems, including structural, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and additional hours as needed to support business operations
- Ability to safely work at heights, climb ladders, and operate in confined spaces as required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
