Job Summary
Direct maintenance team members in all aspects of assigned work areas, including scheduling, line preparation, and production execution. Lead personnel in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electric equipment, PLC, and Process Control software to resolve mechanical problems promptly. Provide leadership for planning and executing preventative and predictive maintenance programs while coaching staff on work standards and enforcing company policies. Install and maintain production machines, ensuring repairs are completed expeditiously with minimal disruption to production schedules. Work long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, adhering to GMP and safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification
- At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial, PLC and HVAC experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Good math skills
- Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
- Display strong work ethics and positive attitude
- Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
- Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
- Must be able to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example
- Must be able to coach, train, and take corrective action, including discipline, when appropriate
- Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
- Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers
- Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold
- Must be able to work long hours and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- AAS degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance
