Job Summary
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery to prevent breakdowns, diagnose and repair faulty electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. Start machines to observe operation, read work orders, and reassemble equipment after repairs. Maintain grounds housekeeping and ensure proper working of all electrical units and systems while complying with OSHA rules. Keep records of all service and refurbishing work. Answer phones during non-working hours and report to fix malfunctioning machinery affecting production, working overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Must have a valid driver license
- Must be insurable
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Industrial Maintenance or Journeyman status preferred
- Programmable logic controllers: 1 to 2 years (Required)
- Experience repairing pneumatics and hydraulics
- Experience repairing motors and pumps
- Mechanical aptitude
- Electrical (24V-480V, AC, Single and 3 phase power, DC Voltage, control systems, motor controls)
- Ability to make decisions and solve complex problems on a wide variety of equipment
- Ability to analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings
- 5+ years in a maintenance role
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skill
- Must be able to manage time
- Must be able to meet deadlines
- Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and schematics
- Must have above average mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
- Ability to answer phone as needed during non-working hours
- Ability to report to work after normal duty hours
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, safe operation, and thoroughness of the work assigned
- Must adhere to safety regulations
- Must follow policies and procedures
