Job Summary
Maintenance Journeyman (Industrial Manufacturing) responsible for managing tool room inventory, distribution, and maintenance of tools and consumables to ensure availability and proper repair of welding, heating, and pneumatic equipment. Coordinates with vendors for equipment maintenance, performs EB equipment calibrations, tracks inventory of welding & heating equipment, orders repair parts, prepares equipment for shipment when needed, and provides back-up distribution support for tools and consumables. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of mechanical or tool-maintenance experience in industrial settings, forklift experience, US citizenship, ability to pass a 7-year background check and a 10-panel drug test, and the ability to work the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4pm-2:30am EST) at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of post-secondary trade school preferred
- Previous experience in inventory management, tool room operations, or a related field
- At least three years prior mechanical experience or skills for tool maintenance & equipment repairs performed in industrial settings such as welding equipment, pneumatic tools, and electrical tooling
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Must require three years forklift experience
- Must be able to pass a 7 year background check
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be able to meet background requirements and pass 10 panel drug test
- Must posses a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
- Must be able to work 2nd shift schedule
