Job Summary
Conduct daily maintenance and repair on motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, CNC machinery, and electrical components up to 480V. Install, adjust, or fix valves, pipes, fluid control devices, HVAC units, and lighting systems while performing light carpentry, basic welding, and metal fabrication. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical service systems, read wiring diagrams, and execute lockout/tag-out procedures. Support operations, equipment operators, and other departments on combined projects. Must work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, weekends, and off-hour emergencies; own tools required. Forklift, snorkel, and scissor lift certifications needed.
Required Qualifications
- Four years of recent Journey level mechanical experience in industrial maintenance and repair with strong emphasis on daily support of operations, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical service and systems
- Able to read electrical diagrams and wiring instructions
- Familiar with 480V, 3 phase power and industrial electrical systems
- Familiarity with common industrial components and equipment: motors, valves, switches, sensors, belt and chain drive mechanisms
- Must be forklift, snorkel and scissor lift certifiable
- Experience with light carpentry, basic welding and machining
- Must have own tools
- Must have working knowledge of lockout / tag out procedures in an industrial environment
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to work at heights with fall protection or in confined spaces (with protection)
- Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, as well as weekday and weekend overtime
- Available to respond to off-hour emergencies on occasion
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum
