Maintenance Inventory Coordinator

Job Summary

Maintain accurate inventory records for all maintenance parts, tools, and supplies by receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming materials while matching packing slips to purchase orders. Upload digital copies into the purchasing system and receive inventory into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), monitoring levels to identify shortages, overstocked items, and reorder needs. Perform routine cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and complete month-end audits to ensure the storeroom is physically inventoried annually. Assist maintenance technicians in locating and issuing parts, prepare kits for scheduled preventive maintenance, and distribute incoming deliveries to internal departments. Organize, label, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient maintenance storeroom while promoting 5S principles. Work closely with Maintenance, Purchasing, and vendors to ensure critical parts remain available and identify opportunities to improve inventory organization and cost control.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate degree or technical coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of inventory control, warehouse, stockroom, or maintenance storeroom experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
  • Experience using CMMS software (ManagerPlus, Eptura, or similar)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and inventory management software
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and inventory accuracy
  • Ability to maintain accurate electronic and physical inventory records
  • Experience performing cycle counts and investigating inventory discrepancies
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Maintenance, Purchasing, Operations, and vendors
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and climb throughout the workday
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including hot and cold manufacturing environments
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements and remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment strongly preferred
  • Experience using CMMS software (ManagerPlus, Eptura, or similar) preferred
  • Knowledge of maintenance parts, equipment, and industrial supplies preferred
