Job Summary
Perform a variety of skilled duties in building trades including painting, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing, drywall, and HVAC maintenance to repair, remodel, and maintain owned and leased facilities. Execute tasks such as following written and verbal instructions, communicating with co-workers and vendors, and adhering to all safety standards while lifting up to 50 pounds. Work full-time from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a Florida driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Florida driver's license
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills that allow the incumbent to work effectively with co-workers and vendors
- Ability to adhere to all safety standards and established work practices
- Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, pull, stretch, sit, stand, climb, and walk
- Drive motor vehicle
- Maintain records
- Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
