Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and adjust electrical equipment including circuitry, motors, PLCs, and controls while installing new electrical systems and reading schematic drawings. Follow work orders, schedules, and special instructions to ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met. Input data into maintenance management systems and keep documentation complete. Work within the United Steel Workers Local 333 Union on a rotating 24/7 schedule of 42 hours per week, including dayshift, nightshift, and weekends off. Perform physical tasks involving lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, and stooping. Experience with Alan Bradley and Siemens machinery is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule
- 2 to 4 years' experience as an Electronic Tech or equivalent electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Must have education, electrical training, experience, and initiative to work in a safe manner
- Physical ability to perform the required work includes bending, climbing, stooping, handling heavy materials (50 lb. max.), and equipment components in and around the plant
- Must act in a professional manner and have a positive work attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
- Must pass all three pre-employment testings
- Candidates must successfully pass pre-employment drug test
- Candidates must successfully pass lifting evaluations
- Candidates must successfully pass background checks
