Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical distribution systems, including 480V 3-phase power, transformers, and motor control centers. Diagnose and fix electrical control circuits, PLCs, and VFDs to optimize machine performance and ensure operational uptime. Perform wiring tasks involving conduit bending, cable tray installation, and splicing in accordance with NEC and OSHA standards. Conduct predictive maintenance using diagnostic tools like megohmmeters and infrared thermography while maintaining accurate records in the CMZ system. Provide emergency on-call support to minimize downtime and train junior staff on safety protocols. This role requires proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial automation systems within a manufacturing environment focused on sustainable pet bedding production.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
- Minimum of four years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
- Proficient with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair (Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000 experience)
- In-depth knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, motor control circuits, industrial automation, and instrumentation
- Experience working with VFDs, servo motors, and electronic drive troubleshooting
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations
- Skilled in using precision electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify and correct faults
