Job Summary
Perform general maintenance work to uphold buildings, playgrounds, and parking lots across various sites. Execute janitorial duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing walls, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming carpets, and window cleaning. Conduct repairs on lights, classroom equipment, and surfaces; paint interiors and exteriors; strip and buff floors; and assist with landscaping. Maintain equipment in proper working conditions, help unload and store groceries and supplies, and build new equipment such as shelving and tables. Keep the maintenance room and tool shed organized while advising the Associate Director of safety hazards. Travel to other sites as needed to transport materials. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding general responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- one to three (1 to 3) years of relevant experience
- State licensing approval
- having no criminal record
- the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and staff
- the ability to comprehend and implement instructions
- sound and mature judgment
- Ability to read and follow the facilities policies and procedures regarding general responsibilities
- Knowledge and experience with heating and ventilation systems
- Knowledge and experience with electricity

- Knowledge and experience with safety
- Knowledge and experience with inspection
