Job Summary
Perform general preventative maintenance and simple repairs on manufacturing machines and mechanical equipment under direct supervision. Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, reassembling equipment after completing fixes. Assist in diagnosing mechanical problems by checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and inspect drives, motors, and belts while following checklists. Move items weighing up to 50 lbs as needed. Requires a high school diploma and 0-1 years of related experience with basic knowledge of machine designs and tools. Starting pay range is $27.55-43.30/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0-1 years related experience
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Must be able move items weighing up to 50 lbs
