Job Summary
Maintains and repairs production equipment in the facility, performs routine and non-routine maintenance, reads prints and technical manuals, welds (MIG/TIG/SMAW) and fabricates as needed, troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and supports safety and 5S programs. May perform emergency repairs with limited supervision, tracks time, follows work orders, and may train lower-bracketed mechanics. Works varying shifts, overtime as needed; requires forklift and man lift operation, plant certification, and respirator program participation; extensive safety and usability requirements in a loud, industrial plant environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; read, write and communicate in English
- Must be able to operate forklift and man lift; plant certification; respirator program compliance; Emergency Response Team participation
