Job Summary
Maintenance technician responsible for maintaining the facility and equipment in a safe, functioning and efficient manner. Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance across plumbing, heating and cooling, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks; replace light fixtures (including exit and overhead lighting); assist in servicing HVAC units; respond to emergency maintenance requests; keep repair and maintenance records; maintain department vehicles and supplies; perform grounds keeping and outside maintenance as needed; ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment; lift and move heavy equipment; read instructions; possess a valid driver’s license and own tools; computer literacy preferred; previous experience in a similar facility (2–3 years) and one-year trade school in HVAC or similar are desired.
Required Qualifications
- Education – One-year trade school certificate in HVAC or similar.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical.
- Experience – Two - three years’ experience preferred in similar or larger facility.
- Other - Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Furnish own tools.
- Computer literate.
- Furnish own inspected, automobile as needed for Center work.
- A good driving records
