Job Summary
Ensure safe, efficient operation of production equipment by completing preventive maintenance on small engines, electrical motors, conveyor systems, and production machines. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions using precision instruments, dismantle devices to replace defective parts, and adjust functional components. Control production downtime through scheduled maintenance, fabricate repair parts, and install electrical apparatus including wiring and electronic components. Document irregularities, communicate team needs, and maintain a clean working environment while complying with all safety procedures and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 3 - 5 years of experience in food manufacturing
- Must have strong electrical experience
- Proven ability to apply mathematical concepts and excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to troubleshoot equipment with High and Low voltage requirements IE: 10vac-480vac / 5vdc-90vdc
- Knowledge of mechanical machinery functionality and ability to troubleshoot and make repairs
- Commitment to learn operational standards and process
- Able to work with others in a team environment to accomplish tasks and projects
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electronics; PLCs and Servo motors
- Ability to apply excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage and complete multiple assigned tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in related field
- Industrial Maintenance certification
- Welding of mild steel and stainless is a plus
