Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for constructing, maintaining and testing mechanical equipment; identify parts or machines needing replacement parts; apply shop mathematics to assignments; interpret drawings to properly adjust, maintain or repair machinery; respond to production requests when mechanical issues are identified; communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and determine potential mechanical problems; perform preventive maintenance; complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency in terms of time and resources.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Technical school preferred.
- 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
- General mathematic ability
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
- Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
- Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends)
