Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for constructing, maintaining and testing mechanical equipment in a poultry processing facility. Tasks include identifying parts or machines needing replacement, using shop mathematics, interpreting equipment drawings to adjust, maintain or repair machinery, responding to production-area mechanical issues, communicating with production management to diagnose problems and determine potential mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and completing tasks with accuracy and efficiency across assigned shifts. Starting pay $22.47/hour (1st shift) and $23.97/hour (2nd & 3rd shifts); benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k, paid holidays/vacations after 1 year. Educational requirement is high school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred with knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and ability to read drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
- General mathematic ability required to perform job
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
- Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
- Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Technical school preferred.
