Job Summary
Conduct site inspections and respond immediately to customer care calls regarding non-functioning equipment. Perform preventive maintenance, repair electronic lock systems, and assist in developing plans to maintain property assets in a safe state. Review guest comment cards to identify and correct problems in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Inspect, test, and certify emergency and life safety equipment per hotel standards. Actively participate in energy conservation programs and assist with vendor contract administration and special projects. This on-property role in Fort Myers, FL requires flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and involves heavy lifting up to 100 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General knowledge of technical fields such as carpentry, painting, and electrical work
- Ability to work well in a team atmosphere and make independent decisions
- Based on-property in Fort Myers, FL
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to exert in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 50 lbs. of force frequently, and 20 lbs. of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and standard maintenance equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Trade certifications or specialized training in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or HVAC systems
- Prior experience with hotel electronic lock systems
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal building and safety codes
