Job Summary
Conduct preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance across the hotel facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool chemical balancing, and grounds upkeep. Resolve guest complaints professionally while managing key control, room status updates, and daily safety inspections for fire systems and hazardous materials. Maintain accurate records of all work orders, inventory, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and federal guidelines. Walk the property daily to identify repair needs and prioritize tasks against the maintenance calendar. Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with mattress rotation and driving a shuttle van if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Valid driver license
- CPO – Certified pool operator license
- Knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, general maintenance, HVAC, laundry and kitchen equipment, door locks, vacuums, light carpentry, and small equipment
- Ability to communicate with hotel staff, guests, and management in a professional manner
- Knowledge of the surrounding area
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Read, write and speak English
- Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures
- Neat, well-groomed appearance including wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
- Possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all areas
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and be able to problem-solve, to effectively deal with internal and external customers
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic math, and understand financial information
- Have basic knowledge of how to operate computer equipment, including Microsoft Office suite
- Hold an understanding of hotel products and services (i.e., food and beverage, recreation)
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year hospitality maintenance or similar experience (Preferred)
