Job Summary
Conduct maintenance on repair, preventive, replacement, and new installation bases while coordinating with other departments to avoid interrupting patient care. Inspect equipment, systems, buildings, and grounds regularly for function, safety, and code compliance. Perform duties in electricity, plumbing, carpentry, mechanics, and HVAC, plus manage grounds, parking, landscaping, and snow removal. Lift heavy furniture and equipment, engrave door plates, and handle heavy custodial tasks including cleaning, laundry, and freight handling. Work weekends and holidays as needed, attend in-services, staff meetings, and QAPI trainings, and report compliance or ethics concerns. Maintain criminal history background clearance and follow all established policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to follow written and oral directions
- Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with a variety of people
- Personal cleanliness and good grooming habits
- Must have a sense of responsibility and be able to work without direct supervision
- Adequate physical and mental health to perform the essential functions of this position
- Ability to carry out programs in repair and new construction and installation
- Knowledge of supplies and equipment used by department and the care of this equipment
- Criminal history background clearance Act 169 and Act 13
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holiday shifts
