Job Summary
Maintenance Helper role performing maintenance across electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanics, and heating/cooling/water systems. Coordinates the maintenance department with other functions to avoid interrupting patient care; inspects equipment and grounds for proper function and safety; attends in-services; participates in QAPI and Trauma Informed Care initiatives; adheres to compliance and ethics training; handles on-call duties and may work weekends/holidays; engraving door plates; support for preventive and new installation work; must be able to perform various maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned. Compensation: $20 per hour, full-time.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to follow written and oral directions
- Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with a variety of people
- Personal cleanliness and good grooming habits
- Must have a sense of responsibility and be able to work without direct supervision
- Adequate physical and mental health to perform the essential functions of this position
- Ability to carry out programs in repair and new construction and installation
- Knowledge of supplies and equipment used by department and the care of this equipment
- Criminal history background clearance Act 169 and Act 13
