Job Summary
Maintenance Generalist MG01 responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all plant equipment and assets while upholding Tyson Safety policies. Role includes performing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs, training maintenance staff, ordering parts and following up on parts orders, filling in for absenteeism, and learning Tyson SAP for work orders and daily documentation. Must be willing to operate on production lines, handle lifting (up to 70 lbs) and endure up to 12-hour shifts. Strong verbal/written communication and ability to work with team members, producers, USDA personnel, and drivers are required. Proficiency in math for machinery-related computations and willingness to complete required training is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of documented mechanic work experience in the work history section of the application and/or resume
- Graduate of an industrial maintenance training program, or training beyond high school in either an associate or technical field
- Experience in general mechanics, maintenance, welding, electrical, and hydraulics is preferred
