Job Summary
Maintenance generalist responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and assets across the pork processing facility. Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment such as conveyors, trolley systems, rendering machinery, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. May perform welding and basic electrical work. Requires reading manuals, documenting work on scheduling sheets, and completing computer-based training. Must be available for the 3rd shift, able to work in cold, damp, or hot environments, and capable of physical tasks including lifting, climbing, bending, and working at heights. Strong communication skills with team members and government officials; willingness to work overtime and in various departments; adherence to Tyson policies and procedures; background checks may be required. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1 Year On-The-Job Training
- 1 year experience in maintenance related areas (mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, PLC, welding/fabrication, etc.)
- ability to lift up to 60+ pounds
- ability to work weekends, holidays and overtime
- read and understand manuals
- complete computer-based training modules
