Job Summary
Conduct routine preventative maintenance repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment to minimize downtime. Support production by addressing equipment problems during the C shift while ensuring work areas remain clean and adhering to Tyson policies. Handle all mechanical issues that arise, including frequent overhead work, and maintain accurate record keeping. Perform tasks requiring the ability to lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly and 75 pounds occasionally while standing on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours. This role requires Lock Out Tag Out certification and at least one year of documented mechanical work experience or completion of an industrial maintenance training program.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly during shift
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping
- Frequent overhead work
- Basic Math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements
- Lock Out Tag Out certification
- Minimum 1 year mechanical work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
