Job Summary
Maintenance Generalist on B shift in Danville, VA responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Responsibilities include setting up, adjusting, and breaking down production line machinery; learning Tyson SAP software for work orders and required daily documentation; communicating effectively; performing mathematical calculations related to machinery and fluid capacities; completing all required training. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 70 lbs, and work in cold, damp, or hot environments; 12-hour shift duties and adherence to pre-employment processes. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience documented in the work experience
- Verifiable formal schooling in a relevant maintenance/refrigeration trade in lieu of experience (preferred but not required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and complete daily documentation
- Willingness to read, write, and communicate effectively; able to perform math for machinery and fluid capacity calculations
- Willingness to complete all required training for the job
- Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, reach; lift 70 lbs daily; work in cold, damp or hot environments; potential for 12-hour shifts
- Must be willing to complete pre-employment drug test and health assessment; on-time attendance for tour, pre-employment steps; no rehires
