Job Summary
Maintenance Generalist position performing on-site plant maintenance to keep production lines running. Responsibilities include setting up, adjusting, and breaking down production line machinery; learning Tyson SAP software to create work orders and complete daily documentation; maintaining effective reading/writing communication; using basic math for machinery-related calculations; complying with pre-employment requirements (drug test, health assessment, orientation); physical duties such as standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 70 lbs, and working in cold, damp, or hot environments for extended 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience
- verifiable schooling in maintenance/refrigeration trade in lieu of experience (optional)
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- basic computer skills
- willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, reach
- willingness to work in cold, damp, or hot environments and lift up to 70 lbs
- ability to use math for calculations related to machinery and fluid capacities
- ability to complete training and adhere to pre-employment requirements
- background checks may be required
