Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while keeping machinery running and ensuring a safe work environment. Identify necessary parts, supplies, and services, then complete work orders in a timely manner to reduce downtime and meet production goals. Perform daily physical tasks including lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting in a cold, hot, wet, dusty, and noisy environment. Use basic hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and multi-meters. Requires 3 months of mechanical experience or relevant automotive/mechanical degree or training. Full-time 2nd shift position in Sedalia, MO.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months mechanical experience
- enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training
- Must identify all parts, supplies and services required to maintain equipment in assigned area
- Must be able to use basic hand and power tools to include drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, multi-meter, and other tools
- Must be able to lift, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days
- Must not be a former Tyson Team Member that was termed for gross misconduct
- Must not have worked at Tyson 3 times or more
- Must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
