Job Summary
Maintenance Generalist on 2nd shift at Tyson Foods Portland ME responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex production equipment and associated systems. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of safety equipment; handles electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; operates industrial equipment (e.g., skyjack, forklift); maintains maintenance and repair logs; adheres to safety, GMP, and SQF guidelines; must lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds; strong teamwork and communication required in a fast-paced environment; willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. The role emphasizes safe operation, food safety and sanitation compliance, and collaboration with production staff to ensure proper use and care of equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience or 6 months of formal training in at least two of the mechanical areas listed: Mechanical Trouble Shooting, Electrical Trouble Shooting, Hydraulic Trouble Shooting, PLC Controls, Three Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Pneumatic Systems
