Job Summary

Perform all assigned work to rig, move, and install machines such as engine and turret lathes, boring mills, milling machines, radial drills, grinders, and punch presses. Prepare foundations, secure, level, and align equipment properly. Assist on large repair work by dismantling and reassembling machines undergoing overhaul. Service and maintain overhead cranes, hoists, power trucks, and material handling equipment. Execute preventative maintenance functions including oiling and lubricating of machinery. This role requires a high school graduate with three to four years of experience and knowledge of mechanical drawing and shop practices. The position involves lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and standing or walking 75-80% of the time. Work is scheduled for the 2nd shift from 3:15pm to 11:45pm with a $1.00 shift differential. Onsite employment at Perlick, where the mission is to build the best bar in the world.

Required Qualifications

  • Vocational or high school graduate
  • Courses in mechanical drawing
  • Courses in shop mathematics
  • Courses in shop practices
  • Three to four years of experience
  • Knowledge of fundamentals as applied in connection with maintenance and general repair
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and reach
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand and walk 75-80% of the time
  • Availability for 2nd shift hours (3:15pm - 11:45am)
  • Eligibility for $1.00 shift differential
  • Willingness to work adjusted maintenance schedules
  • Willingness to perform work on rig, move and install machines and equipment
  • Ability to prepare foundations, secure, level and align machines
  • Ability to assist on large and more involved repair work
